We are now at the three-quarter mark in our B2B programme. It is a good moment to pause and ask: how has it been a blessing so far? Allow me to share some observations.
Firstly, more of us have been doing our daily “homework.” Many are faithfully reading the assigned Scriptures and writing down reflections. My encouragement is this: don’t rush through it. The goal is not to simply complete four questions a day, but to truly allow God’s Word to speak into your life. This takes stillness, reflection, and meditation in His presence. Some of you may also find the daily Praydos devotionals helpful. The audio option, for instance, can be a blessing while commuting. Some days you will be deeply moved; other days, you may feel little. But the discipline itself is already a blessing—forming the habit of being still before God.
Secondly, our small group sharing has been a gift. Each group is different, and each participant experiences it differently. In some groups, people are willing to open up about their deepest struggles and pains. Simply being able to share is already a powerful first step. Others may respond with empathy, encouragement, or simply listening quietly—all of which are important. What we often discover is that we are not alone in this pilgrimage. Bonds of fellowship are strengthened when we dare to be open with one another.
Finally, the further blessings depend on how each of us respond to what we are learning. B2B is only one of the ministries in our church designed to help us grow spiritually. Sunday worship, Cell life, and other opportunities also shape us. At the heart of it all is this question: Do we have a true desire to grow spiritually, and to help others grow as well?
Ultimately, while the church equips and supports you, you are the one living your life day by day—as a student, worker, or homemaker. And in every role, the challenge is the same: to live out the Greatest Commandment—to love God with all your being, and to love your neighbour as yourself.
Our Christian activities and resources are never ends in themselves; they are meant to shape the way we live. We must not compartmentalise our lives, acting one way in “church spaces” and another way elsewhere.
This may sound like a cliché, but it remains true: If He is not Lord of all, He is not Lord at all.
