We are barely into a new year and adjusting to one new Service at 10 am. As
new habits are still being formed, it is good to renew again our approach to our
Sunday Services and the many ministry opportunities it brings. Do note that our
“café” is open by 9 am and there are light breakfast options if you want to come
earlier or inviting a friend to the Service. Do also note the shuttle bus Services
timings as it can facilitate guest visitors.
Post Service brunch refreshments continue to be important as we gather our
community and guests. Various teams are being rostered and as always we
welcome ideas and contributions. I should add a word of thanks to those who
have worked hard at beautifying the front porch area of the church (especially
Jessica and Iain) and making that area usable.
Various teams are discussing and praying over how our Services can be enriched.
As always we welcome your feedback and insights. In a new season, we want to
be open to what the Lord will want to do through our Services.
We are also in the midst of planning some Christian Education Courses or
discipleship groups which can happen on Sundays now that we are running only
one Service. Stay tuned.
We held the Hydroponics Seminar yesterday, with emphasis on Community
Farming. These are ways in which we connect with our wider community,
including residents and other churches in this area. We are also exploring how
we can step up in supporting and reaching seniors, within and without.
Our Sanctuary air condition condensers are slowly breaking down after many
years of faithful service. They have become quite noisy and irritating our
neighbours. Pray that we will have sufficient funds to cover the purchase of new
ones.
PCC will be meeting this week. Various key areas like our annual budget will need
looking into. Pray for wisdom on our part to make the right decisions.
We welcome Revd Victor Teo as he concludes the three-part series on Mental
Health. Do you know that our Sunday Sermons are on Spotify? You can access
Revd Victor’s earlier messages there. Search for “MPCC” or the name in full in
Spotify.
