Upgrading and Updating

We have installed a new sound system. It is a major upgrade and we are using a professional system which is more commonly used in other churches. There were many technical and practical reasons for this upgrade. The expenditure was made easier as two churches designated gifts for this need and one member offered to topped up the rest. Our old sound system will be reinstalled in Glory Hall and the system there will be reinstalled in the Community Hall.

We understand that not all will appreciate the difference but we need to trust those in the know (i.e Zimrah members and those amongst us who are aurally/musically sensitive) to make a sound decision (sorry for the pun!). We have also spent almost two years prior; seeking the advice of experts from other churches. We also thank the two donor churches and member for their generosity. We also want to thank the installer, Creafor Solutions, for their generous discount. Just as we improved on our visual screen two years ago, this new sound system will serve us well for many years to come.

Christmas is coming and I will like to urge us to see our the Service as a wonderful opportunity to invite someone. Pas Barney is the speaker. There will be a special skit and a delicious home-cooked Christmas Lunch. Now, each of us should be intentional in both praying for and inviting our guests. We will be sending you a Christmas Prayer Card to get you started and being intentional to think of who you can invite.

The planning process has started for 2025 and our staff will be spending two days this week for this purpose. Our 50th Anniversary is in 2026 and we have to lay the runway for that too. On 23rdNov, some key lay leaders will also join me to continue the planning. If some of you have ideas, feel free to talk to me or others.  And do pray with us.

We are dedicating some Sundays this week for Missions. During this period, we also hope to raise some funds as MPCC is committed to supporting some individuals who are serving here and overseas. If you are using an envelope or doing digitally, please indicate that it is for the Missions Fund.

There has been some delay to the renovation works on the patio area outside the Communal Hall facing Tembeling Road. Work should start soon and in time for our use during the Christmas period.
